Folarin Balogun remains open to Premier League move after failed Everton transfer

Folarin Balogun has indicated that a move to the Premier League remains a possibility in the future, following the collapse of his high-profile transfer to Everton during the summer deadline.

Everton had reached an agreement with AS Monaco for a deal worth approximately £40 million. The transfer reached an advanced stage, with the player present at the club's training ground, but complications arose during the medical process. This led to renegotiations for a lower fee and performance-related add-ons. However, the move ultimately failed after Balogun reportedly felt mistreated due to miscommunications regarding the club's pursuit of other strikers, such as Joshua Zirkzee or Tammy Abraham.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the USA international addressed the failed move, stating, “I was close to a transfer, didn’t materialise, but for sure it’s definitely an option,” regarding a potential return to English football.
