Folignano and Montevarchi host summer food festivals

The town of Folignano in Italy will hold the 35th edition of its Sagra di Folignano at the Belvedere site from July 23 to July 26. After recent renovations, the four‑day event will feature traditional regional dishes such as olive‑stuffed meat, fried cheese, gnocchi alla norcina, scottona hamburgers and other specialty foods, along with live music performances by cover bands and tribute acts.

From July 23 to July 28, nearby Montevarchi will stage the Sagra della Tagliata – Festa del Perdono. The six‑night programme includes food stalls offering the famed tagliata, concerts by local bands and DJs, a “Mercato sotto le stelle”, a Vespa rally, a cycling race that serves as the 4th Memorial Ezio Mannucci and 1st Trofeo Gruppo Calzeroni, and various cultural activities such as a brass band parade and a Taekwondo demonstration.
