Folklore festivals held in Murcia region

Several folklore festivals are taking place in the Murcia region of Spain. In Lorca, the Coros y Danzas Francisco Salzillo de Cieza group is participating in the XXXVII International Folklore Festival ‘Ciudad de Lorca’. The group will perform a program of five dances, including malagueñas, seguidillas, and jotas, featuring various traditional male and female costumes.

Additionally, the second edition of the National Folklore Festival ‘Las Fortalezas del Rey Lobo’ is being held at the Castillo de Monteagudo from September 17 to 19. Organized by the Murcia City Council, the event brings together groups from Murcia, the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha, and Galicia to celebrate music, dance, and popular traditions within a historical setting.
