Folsom Chabad breaks ground on new Jewish Community Center

Hundreds of community members and civic leaders gathered in Folsom, California, for the groundbreaking of a new Chabad Jewish Community Center and synagogue. The project marks a significant milestone for a local Jewish community that has been operating for nearly two decades, having started in the home of Rabbi Yossi and Goldie Grossbaum in 2007.

Located at 795 Hana Way, the new two-story campus will span approximately 23,483 square feet on a two-acre property. The facility is designed to serve Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and the surrounding region, providing a permanent home for worship, education, youth programs, and community gatherings. Planned amenities include a shul, social hall, classrooms, youth spaces, a CTeen lounge, a mikvah, and offices.

The ceremony included remarks from local officials, including Folsom Mayor Justin Raithel and California Assemblyman Josh Hoover, who highlighted the center’s importance to the region. The event also featured a video presentation titled ‘Many Stories. One Community.’ which showcased the impact of the organization on local families.
