FOMO Pay and PantherTrade establish Travel Rule connectivity
Singapore-based payment institution FOMO Pay and Hong Kong-based PantherTrade have established Travel Rule connectivity to facilitate direct digital asset transfers. The arrangement allows eligible FOMO Pay business clients to transfer digital assets directly to PantherTrade, a virtual asset trading platform owned by Futu Holdings, without the need for external third-party wallets.
Under the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Travel Rule, virtual asset service providers are required to collect and transmit specific sender and recipient information during transactions. Both platforms will exchange this data to ensure regulatory compliance. The collaboration aims to simplify digital asset transfers for businesses and institutions utilizing these assets for treasury, investment, and trading activities.
This marks PantherTrade’s first Travel Rule integration with an overseas licensed institution. The partnership is intended to bridge the gap between payment infrastructure and digital asset trading ecosystems, potentially broadening investor access to Futu’s investment products.
