To qualify for Fonacot credit, applicants must be at least 18 years old, employed at an affiliated workplace for a minimum of six months, and earn at least the minimum wage. Required documentation includes a valid official ID, a recent bank statement with an interbank CLABE, proof of address no older than three months, and the last four consecutive pay stubs.

Available credit types include cash loans for general needs and a specific 'Mujer Efectivo' credit designed for female workers with preferential rates.
