Fond na podporu umenia approves 1.84 million euros for 390 cultural projects

The Council of the Fund for the Support of the Arts (FPU) has approved funding for nearly 390 projects across two calls, totaling approximately 1.84 million euros. The supported initiatives span various disciplines, including theatre, dance, music, visual arts, literature, traditional folk culture, and library acquisitions.

Specific allocations include nearly 456,000 euros for 22 theatre projects and approximately 417,000 euros for 59 music creation and dissemination projects. Additionally, over 250,000 euros was allocated to more than 40 projects focused on presenting Slovak culture abroad. Library acquisitions received 480,000 euros for 231 projects, while traditional folk culture and educational activities were granted 120,000 euros for 25 projects.

The decision was made during the FPU's 16th meeting held in Banská Bystrica. Recipients of previous calls are expected to receive funds by the end of the summer, and a new call for applications has already been launched.
