Fond PIO warns of family pension suspension over missing documents

The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (Fond PIO) has issued a warning to recipients of family pensions regarding the mandatory submission of school enrollment certificates for the 2026/2027 school year.

For children aged 15 to 19 attending secondary school, certificates must be submitted to the Fund no later than September 24, 2026. For students aged 19 to 26, the deadline for submission is October 24, 2026. Failure to provide these documents within the specified timeframe will result in the suspension of family pension payments, as the Fund will assume the beneficiary is no longer in regular education.

Users in the Republic of Srpska should submit documents to the nearest Fund branch, while those residing outside the Republic must contact their competent branch. The Fund will also notify users of this obligation via written messages on pension checks during July, August, and September 2026. The Fund reserves the right to verify the accuracy of all submitted certificates with the issuing schools or faculties.
