Fondation Beloved board sees multiple resignations

Four out of nine members of the board of the Fondation Beloved have resigned between late June and mid-August 2026. The foundation is dedicated to supporting families affected by the Crans-Montana tragedy.

Among those who stepped down were the representatives for the Italian, Swiss, and French victim families. Guido Bertolasso, the delegate for Italian families, resigned in late June and has been replaced by Gian Lorenzo Cornado, the former Italian ambassador to Switzerland. Cornado noted that Bertolasso’s departure was due to a heavy workload rather than disagreements with the board.

Roberto Taibo, the Swiss families' delegate, resigned in August and was succeeded by Anne de Montmollin. Additionally, the delegate for French families, Jacques Hébrard, and Professor Anne-Christine Fornage both resigned in mid-August. The process to identify replacements for these positions is currently underway.
