Fondation du patrimoine unveils 100 sites for 2026 Loto du patrimoine

The Fondation du patrimoine has released the list of 100 monuments selected to benefit from the 2026 edition of the ‘Loto du patrimoine’. This initiative, launched in 2018 by Stéphane Bern, focuses on local and often modest heritage sites that are currently under threat.

Among the selected sites is the Château de Cornillon-sur-l’Oule in the Drôme region. This 13th-century fortress, located at an altitude of 750 meters in the Baronnies provençales, is currently in ruins due to weather, drought, and abandonment. The funding will support private owners in their efforts to progressively restore the structure. Local supporters have formed the association ‘Les Amis du Castrum de Cornillon-sur-l’Oule’ to mobilize volunteers and preserve the historical knowledge associated with the site.
