Fondation Santé Rimouski raises $39,028 for hospital equipment

The 22nd edition of the Arrache-Cœur event, organized by the Fondation Santé Rimouski, raised $39,028 to fund the purchase of an electrocardiograph for the Rimouski Regional Hospital.

Held on September 29, the event involved 1,598 participants, including 51 companies participating in the ‘Défi Entreprise en santé’. The event, which consists of a five-kilometer walk or run up Avenue de la Cathédrale, was originally scheduled for May but was postponed to September due to inclement weather.

Caroline Pelletier, Director General of the Fondation Santé Rimouski, stated that the funds will improve patient care by allowing more services to be grouped in a single location. The mobilization was noted for its significant community and corporate engagement.
