Fondazione Adecco reports 4.3x social return on investment over 25 years

An impact assessment of Fondazione Adecco’s first 25 years of activity reveals that for every euro invested in labor inclusion, a social return of 4.3 euros is generated. Presented at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, the study conducted with Isnet shows that 12.8 million euros in investments produced a total return of 55.3 million euros.

These benefits are distributed across public finance through increased tax revenue, the social welfare system via reduced assistance costs and higher social security contributions, and the community through volunteer hours. Over its history, the Foundation has supported 11,359 people in disadvantaged conditions, including 2,935 through work education and inclusion paths and 639 professional training courses.

The Foundation’s target groups have evolved from people with disabilities and those over 50 to include youth at risk of social exclusion, disadvantaged women, migrants, and detainees. Since 2017, the organization has also served as an implementing partner for UNHCR to promote the employability and autonomy of refugees and asylum seekers.
