Fondazione Alleanza Nazionale €25 million assets tied to PM Meloni

The Fondazione Alleanza Nazionale, created on 18 November 2011, holds assets exceeding €25 million, comprising roughly €30 million in real estate, more than €27 million in bank deposits and Italian state bonds, and full ownership of the newspaper Secolo d'Italia. The foundation is often described as the “treasure chest” of the Italian right and is closely linked to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, whose party rents prestigious properties from the foundation’s portfolio. Its headquarters and archive are located at via della Scrofa 39, the same address as the national headquarters of Meloni’s party, and the board includes Meloni’s sister Arianna Meloni, senior right‑wing politicians such as Ignazio La Russa, Roberto Menia, Fabio Rampelli, Italo Bocchino (editor of Secolo d'Italia) and Maurizio Gasparri.

According to the latest audited balance sheet for the year ending 31 December 2025, the foundation recorded an operating deficit of €116,931, a sharp reduction from the €775,000 deficit the previous year. The reduction, attributed to a strategic shift of investments from funds to Italian Treasury bonds (especially BTPs), lowered the foundation’s liabilities by more than 80 %. No financial alarm was reported.
