Fondazione Ambrosianeum marks 80 years of the Italian Republic with cinema

Fondazione Ambrosianeum is hosting a series of cinematic events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic. The program features three docufilms originally produced in 1971 for the 25th anniversary of the Republic, directed by Sandro Bolchi, Vittorio De Sica, and Ermanno Olmi.

Scheduled from September 28 to October 12, the screenings will be accompanied by discussions involving historians, journalists, politicians, and writers. The initiative aims to explore the political, social, and civil climate surrounding the birth of Italian democracy through the lens of public television and cinema.
