Fondazione Carima launches second bee-friendly oases in Macerata province

For the third consecutive year, the Fondazione Carima is promoting the national "+API. Oasi fiorite per la biodiversità" initiative in Italy’s Macerata province. The project, created by the Filiera Futura association of Bra, aims to create flower‑rich oases that provide habitats for bees and other pollinating insects, involving local communities to raise awareness about biodiversity and the One Health approach.

In 2026 two oases were established in partnership with provincial third‑sector organisations: the Social Cooperative PARS “Pio Carosi” in Corridonia and the Social Cooperative “Il Talento” in Morrovalle. The effort seeks to counter the global decline of pollinators—over 40% of invertebrate pollinators are at risk, they perform about 70% of plant pollination and support roughly 35% of global food production—by restoring habitats and fostering public engagement.
