Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna donates 400,000 euros for new CT scanner
The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna has approved a 400,000 euro donation to purchase a new spectral CT scanner for the Radiology unit at the Santa Maria delle Croci hospital in Ravenna.
This technological advancement allows for more detailed diagnostic imaging by providing information on tissue density, chemical composition, and biological micro-variations. The new equipment is expected to reduce radiation doses and the need for contrast agents, while improving the detection of both benign and malignant lesions. According to Foundation President Mirella Falconi Mazzotti, this contribution is part of a broader, seven-year initiative to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and professional training in the Ravenna and Romagna regions.
