Fondazione Edmund Mach hosts international digital agriculture workshop
The Fondazione Edmund Mach (FEM) hosted an international delegation of 20 researchers and technicians from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine, and Moldova in Trentino from October 13 to 15. The visit was part of the CLIMB project (Capacity-building for Local Innovation, agroMeteorology, and Bio-traceability), which aims to strengthen digital agriculture, agro-meteorology, and traceability skills in Eastern Partnership countries.
Funded by the German agency GIZ, the initiative focuses on helping these nations adopt digital technologies and quality management systems that align with European standards. The program included laboratory visits and field activities covering precision agriculture, agrometeorological data, and analytical techniques. The goal is to provide companies with better data to improve agronomic decision-making and increase production sustainability and competitiveness.
