Fondazione Irea Morini Pedrina to build disability housing in Este

The Fondazione Irea Morini Pedrina is set to begin construction of an innovative residential facility in Este this October. The project aims to increase housing availability for people with disabilities while promoting community integration.

Located centrally in Este, the new building will feature several specialized functions. The ground floor will house a shop-laboratory to sell artisanal goods created in the foundation's day centers, providing resources for project development. Additionally, the facility will include an apartment designed to facilitate independent living for specific pairings, such as elderly parents and their adult children with disabilities, allowing them to remain together rather than moving into separate care facilities. The foundation hopes to open at least a portion of the building by 2028.
