Italy hosts various major art exhibitions through late 2026
Italy is hosting several significant art exhibitions scheduled for late 2026 and early 2027. In Vicenza, the Gallerie d’Italia, organized by Intesa Sanpaolo, will present a major exhibition dedicated to Giandomenico Tiepolo from October 9, 2026, to January 17, 2027. This retrospective marks the artist's third centenary, featuring 68 works from international institutions such as the Louvre and the Prado to highlight his unique contribution to 18th-century Venetian art.
Other notable cultural events include a Marcantonio exhibition at Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste in Ravenna, showcasing over 50 works spanning art and design, and a Chagall exhibition in Vercelli featuring the European premiere of ‘Il clown dal volto verde’. Additionally, Rome is preparing for the 11th Rome Art Week in October 2026, focusing on contemporary art. In Mantova, Fondazione Palazzo Te will host an exhibition exploring the relationship between nature and art through the works of Leonardo, Arcimboldo, and Caravaggio.
In Vajont, a photographic exhibition will commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the Vajont tragedy, using 70 previously unseen images to document the event and the subsequent reconstruction efforts.
