Fondazione Pascale staff declare state of agitation over funding and contract issues

Healthcare workers at the Fondazione Pascale National Cancer Institute in Naples have declared a state of agitation. Labor unions, including Uil Fp Napoli e Campania, Cgil Fp, and Nursing Up, cited critical issues such as frozen waiting lists, exhausted funds for overtime, and the failure to apply collective bargaining agreements.

The unions reported that attempts at cooling-off and conciliation procedures failed, and the administration has not convened necessary meetings. The dispute has been escalated to the Naples Prefecture, where unions highlighted how organizational deficiencies are impacting both patient care and research activities. Workers are demanding more transparent programming and the proper application of contracts to ensure the sustainability of the institution's services.
