Fondazione Sant’Erasmo presents 2025 Social Budget, highlights new elder‑care projects and funding worries

The Fondazione Sant’Erasmo ETS in Legnano released its 2025 Social Budget, outlining the foundation’s integrated care model for the elderly and frail population. President Alberto Fedeli said the year continued the consolidation of the foundation’s economic, financial and patrimonial position while keeping service quality and fee accessibility as priorities.

The report notes the end of the “Cura Condivisa” project and the launch of two new initiatives: “Case in Comunità”, a housing project for seniors in the Canazza district financed by Fondazione Cariplo, and “Oltre l’età”, a biennial programme coordinated by Auser Ticino Olona and supported by the ATS of the Metropolitan City, targeting 1,500 seniors in the Alto Milanese, Magentino and Abbiatense areas to promote active ageing.

Future strategy focuses on five pillars – expanding residential and home‑care services, supporting solitary fragile elders, valorising real‑estate assets, rationalising management costs, and strengthening communication. The foundation warns of rising energy costs, staff shortages and uncertainty over PNRR funding for home care and the allocation of long‑term Alzheimer care expenses.
