Italy hosts regional longevity summit and cultural events

Various regional cultural and social initiatives are taking place across Italy. In Spilinga, the twelfth Longevity Day Italia is being hosted by the Anziani Italia association, bringing together doctors, researchers, and policymakers to discuss healthy aging, welfare, and environmental protection. A key outcome of this event is the formal signing of the founding act for the Network of Cities of Longevity in Southern Italy.

In Borgo San Dalmazzo, a community event celebrates the bond between grandparents and grandchildren through music and photography. Meanwhile, in Rignano Garganico, the new social promotion association ‘Ara Iani – Rignano Underground’ has been launched to promote local archaeology, speleology, and sustainable tourism.

Artistic activities include a yoga session at the former Santa Caterina monastery to support cultural heritage, and several exhibitions. In Luzzana, artists Marta Testa and Tiziano Finazzi are showcasing works using fabric as a medium. Additionally, the ‘Onda Creativa’ project continues at Villa Paola with Azzurra Primavera’s photography, and artists Daniela Frongia and Salvatore Delogu are participating in a residency at CasermArcheologica in Sansepolcro.
