Fondo Emprender to launch 5,000 million peso fund for flood victims

The SENA Fondo Emprender will launch a 5,000 million peso call for applications in the first week of September. The funds are specifically designated for individuals affected by floods to strengthen and recover productive projects.

This initiative follows an agreement between the Mayor of Montería, Hugo Kerguelén García, and the Director General of SENA, Ricardo Torres Castro. Beyond the funding, the two entities have established a joint agenda focused on employment and training. This includes plans for an employment summit in November involving businesses, academia, and public entities to align vocational training with the needs of the local productive sector in Montería and Córdoba.
