Fondo Nacional de las Artes hosts First International Heritage Congress
The Fondo Nacional de las Artes (FNA) is hosting the First International Heritage Congress, titled ‘La ciudadanía en acción’, in Buenos Aires. The event runs from Friday through Sunday across multiple venues, including the Casa Victoria Ocampo, the Laboratorio Patrimonial Centenera, and Parque de la Estación.
The congress brings together professionals, researchers, and civil society organizations to discuss the defense and preservation of both material and immaterial urban heritage. Key participants include representatives from the Observatorio del Derecho a la Ciudad and the Asociación de Amigos del Cementerio de la Recoleta.
As part of the program, the Museo del Subte will open the Laboratorio Patrimonial Centenera for a session featuring a talk on the transformation of the Caballito Sur neighborhood. The event also includes recognitions for various institutions and individuals, such as the Instituto Ravignani, the Archivo Histórico de Revistas Argentinas, and the Asociación Amigos del Tranvía for its fifty years of work.
