Fonds Binta donates hospital beds to Tambacounda health facilities

The Fonds Binta association, a Geneva-based partner of the ‘Tout Tambacounda’ (TTC) movement, has donated 20 hospital beds to health facilities in the Tambacounda district of Senegal. The equipment, sourced from a donation by the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), was officially handed over on October 12, 2026, in the presence of local authorities, including Prefect Alioune Badara Mbengue.

In addition to the primary donation in Tambacounda, five additional beds were distributed to other medical structures, including two for the hospital in Domor and three for the hospital in Médina Gounass. Following the handover, the beds in Tambacounda were immediately put into service to accommodate patients.

Beyond medical equipment, the Fonds Binta is involved in educational projects, such as the construction of a childcare facility in Billalibougou, and recent menstrual hygiene campaigns involving the distribution of 20,000 sanitary pads in the Tambacounda commune.
