Font Gamundi executives sued for corporate fraud and forgery
Businessman William Ramón Font Robiou has filed a lawsuit against executives of Font Gamundi, S.A., alleging a scheme involving document forgery, procedural fraud, and breach of trust. The legal action seeks to dismantle corporate maneuvers intended to illicitly dilute the shareholding of the Jaime Font Alberti estate.
The complaint extends to related entities including Inversiones y Negocios S.A., N.I.P, S.A., and Ditek, S.A.S. Font Robiou is requesting a forensic accounting and corporate audit, as well as an official expert report from the National Institute of Forensic Pathology (Inacif) regarding the contested documents.
A central piece of evidence is a General Assembly Minutes document dated August 30, 1986. Forensic analysis presented to prosecutors claims the document contains 13 categories of irregularities, including the use of technology, fonts, and paper types that did not exist in the country at that time. Additionally, the analysis alleges the presence of digitally transplanted signatures, including one belonging to Jaime Font Alberti, who passed away in 1995.
