Fontaines D.C. release fifth studio album Dopamine Chamber

Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. has released their fifth studio album, titled ‘Dopamine Chamber’, via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, the record marks a sonic evolution for the group, incorporating synth-heavy textures, new wave influences, and electronic elements that distinguish it from their previous post-punk sound.

The album features a notable collaboration with Spanish singer Rosalía on the track ‘Where Is Gone?’, marking the first time the band has featured a guest artist on a studio album. Lyrically, the project explores themes of modern life, technology, information overload, and the tension between pleasure and paranoia.

To celebrate the release, the band performed a charity show at London’s Roundhouse in collaboration with the suicide prevention organization CALM. The album follows their 2024 release, ‘Romance’, and includes singles such as ‘Marianne’, ‘Tongue’, and ‘Mimesis’.
