Fontaines D.C. release fifth studio album Dopamine Chamber

Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. has released their fifth studio album, titled ‘Dopamine Chamber’. The new record marks a stylistic evolution for the Dublin-based quintet, moving from their post-punk roots toward a more electronic and dystopian sound influenced by 1980s synth and Manchester-era music.

Produced by James Ford, the album features eleven tracks, including the single ‘Marianne’ and a collaboration with singer Rosalía on the track ‘Where Is Gone?’. The lyrical themes explore modern anxieties, including artificial intelligence, ecological collapse, and political violence.

The release is accompanied by an extensive world tour. Upcoming performances include dates in Belgrade, Bologna, Athens, and Zagreb, as well as headlining appearances at festivals such as Primavera Sound in Barcelona. The band’s recent trajectory includes multiple Grammy nominations for previous works like ‘A Hero’s Death’ and ‘Romance’.
