Foo Fighters to open for AC/DC in St. Louis for one night

Foo Fighters will serve as special guests for AC/DC during a one-night-only performance at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 8. The band is stepping away from their own “Take Cover” global stadium tour to fill the opening slot originally held by The Pretty Reckless, who are unable to perform at the Missouri date.

For Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, the appearance is a significant personal milestone. Grohl described the opportunity as “literally a dream come true,” noting that AC/DC’s 1980 concert film, “Let There Be Rock,” profoundly influenced his musical direction and standards for live performance when he was eleven years old. He credited the band with introducing him to the “raw, primal power of rock and roll performance.”
