Food and Travel Italia Awards honor Don Alfonso 1890 and Mauro Uliassi

The ninth edition of the Food and Travel Italia Awards has recognized several leaders in Italian gastronomy. Don Alfonso 1890 was named Restaurant of the Year at the 2026 awards, a title decided by reader votes.

Additionally, Mauro Uliassi was honored as Chef of the Year. The award ceremony took place in the historic center of Presicce-Acquarica in Puglia. Uliassi, whose culinary work is centered in Senigallia, attributed the success to his professional team, referred to as his ‘gang’.
