Food bank collections organized in various French municipalities

Multiple municipalities in France are organizing food drives to support regional food banks and combat food insecurity.

In Prémesques, a collection in partnership with the CCAS will run from November 2 to November 7, 2026. Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items such as pasta, rice, and canned goods, as well as hygiene products like soap and toothpaste. To assist those with reduced mobility, the town hall is offering home collection services on Saturday morning.

In Sarre-Union, the municipality is participating in the National Collection organized by the Banque Alimentaire du Bas-Rhin. Scheduled for November 6 to 8, 2026, the initiative involves over 180 stores in the Bas-Rhin department. Donation points include E. Leclerc and Carrefour Contact supermarkets on November 7. The campaign relies on thousands of volunteers to collect and distribute goods, following a 2025 effort in Bas-Rhin that gathered 266 tonnes of food.
