Food brands expand presence in Kyoto and Yokohama

Several food and bakery brands are expanding their presence in Japan through new openings and pop-up events. In Kyoto, peace put Co., Ltd. will simultaneously launch Neo Nice Burger and its second Kyoto location of I’m donut? in the Teramachi district on October 6, 2026.

Neo Nice Burger will offer handcrafted burgers featuring local Kyoto ingredients, such as Kyo-kabu (turnip), Kyo-shira miso, and Sansho pepper. I’m donut? will introduce its first “wet dough” donuts, utilizing high-moisture dough made from Kitano Kaori wheat to create a moist and chewy texture.

Additionally, the Ishikawa-based French toast brand PAPAN GA PAN is holding a special pop-up event at Tsukizu Hankyu in Yokohama. The shop offers a variety of flavors, including chocolate, matcha, and strawberry, marking its first appearance in the Tsukizu area.
