Food brands launch premium Mid-Autumn Festival gift sets

Various food and hospitality brands are launching specialized gift sets for the Mid-Autumn Festival, focusing on premium ingredients and diverse flavors.

Yu Xiang Xian has introduced the ‘Wu Jin Jing Yue Zhi Li’ gift box, which features premium mullet roe—often referred to as ‘amber of the sea’—integrated into various pastries. The collection includes molten lava mooncakes combining mullet roe with salted egg yolk, traditional Han-style pastries, and mille-feuille rolls with osmanthus aromas. The brand aims to expand the culinary use of mullet roe beyond traditional New Year celebrations.

Evergreen Hotels has also unveiled a range of seasonal gift boxes across its various locations. Offerings include handmade chocolate mooncakes from the Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Taichung, French-style butter pastries from the Evergreen Garden Hotel in Chiayi, and tea-infused mooncakes from the Evergreen Phoenix Hotel in Jiaoxi. Other regional specialties include various flavored mooncakes from the Taisugar Evergreen Hotel in Tainan and assorted pastries from the Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Keelung. Many of these products are currently available with early bird discounts.
