Food Corporation of India probes viral video of alleged employee's remarks
The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has launched an inquiry into a viral video purportedly featuring a female employee making remarks against India. The woman, believed to be a manager or quality control official, is heard stating, “India’s occupation of Kashmir is unjust, and it will remain unjust.”
In the recording, the individual also suggests that holding a government position does not equate to joining the mainstream, noting that one might take a job to meet personal needs while remaining part of a “resistance movement.”
FCI General Manager I K Choudhary stated that efforts are underway to verify the identity of the woman and confirm if the voice in the video belongs to an FCI staff member. Choudhary announced that a show-cause notice will be issued to seek a response, after which a thorough investigation will be conducted. He emphasized that if the woman is confirmed to be an employee and the remarks are established as hers, the corporation will take the strictest possible action. The FCI noted that all employees undergo police verification.
