Two separate food poisoning incidents have been reported in Japan. In Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, 31 people, including 24 minors, fell ill after eating curry rice at a children's cafeteria hosted by the local city hall. Health officials identified Clostridium perfringens as the cause. The restaurant providing the meals, ‘Enmusubi’, has been ordered to suspend operations for the time being. All affected individuals are reportedly recovering.

In Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture, six individuals between the ages of 21 and 34 experienced diarrhea, vomiting, and fever after consuming crepes from a catering stall at an event held on October 17. Authorities have confirmed the outbreak was caused by norovirus.
