Food recalls issued for baby puree and hazelnut wafers in Slovenia

The Slovenian Consumers' Association (ZPS) has announced new food recalls involving several products sold at Lidl, Tuš, and Spar.

An organic fruit puree (apple, peach, and mango) intended for infants aged 6 months and older has been recalled from Lidl. The recall follows testing that detected aflatoxin B1, a mold-produced mycotoxin, at levels exceeding permitted limits, posing a potential choking hazard due to small particles.

Additionally, Baron International has recalled various hazelnut-filled wafers and napolitanke (wafer cookies) sold at Spar and Tuš. These products, originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina, were flagged for failing to declare the presence of milk, an allergen. Consumers with milk allergies are advised not to consume these items and can return them to the store for a refund.
