Food recalls issued in Ireland for salmon and breakfast cereals

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued recalls for several food products due to contamination concerns.

Wrights of Marino Sliced Smoked Salmon (400g) is being recalled because of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The affected batch is identified by code Yellow A38 with a use-by date of 06/10/2026. Listeria can cause gastrointestinal symptoms in healthy individuals and serious complications in vulnerable groups, such as pregnant women, infants, and older adults.

Additionally, batches of Ready Brek Original and Tesco Super Smooth Porridge have been pulled from shelves due to potential infestation by flour beetles. The Ready Brek recall affects 750g and 450g packs with various best-before dates throughout 2027. The Tesco recall involves 750g batches with best-before dates between 30/06/2027 and 15/08/2027. The FSAI has advised retailers to remove these products from sale and display recall notices.
