Pestova Flips Ketchup recalled due to undeclared milk allergen

The Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) has ordered the immediate market recall of ‘Flips Ketchup’ produced by Pestova LLC. The recall follows a notification from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) after official controls in Slovenia identified traces of milk in the product.

The undeclared presence of milk allergens poses an unacceptable health risk to consumers with milk sensitivities. The affected batch is Lot FK 04/26, with an expiration date of February 11, 2027. Approximately 20,406 packages were produced and exported to several countries.

Pestova LLC has responded by stating that the issue involves a limited series of ‘Flips Ketchup’ and not their ‘VIPA Chips’ line. The company maintains that no milk or dairy products are used in any stage of their production processes and is conducting additional laboratory analyses to verify the source of the traces.
