Football Association of Serbia sanctions Red Star and Partizan

The Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) has issued several sanctions against clubs following the 180th Eternal Derby and other matches.

Red Star Belgrade has been fined 1,000,000 dinars and faces a conditional one-year ban on playing one league or cup match without spectators. The sanctions stem from organizational failures, inadequate fan searches, delays in starting the match, and the extensive use of pyrotechnics.

Partizan Belgrade was fined 300,000 dinars and received a conditional one-year ban on playing one away match without spectators due to the use of pyrotechnics, including 36 cannon shots. One security official sustained minor injuries during the match.

FK Novi Pazar was fined 400,000 dinars and received a conditional one-year ban on playing one home match without spectators. The penalties were issued for offenses during matches against Mačva and Železničar, including the use of pyrotechnics, throwing objects onto the pitch, and the unauthorized entry of approximately 30 people into restricted areas to perform religious rites.
