Football Association of Zambia fines Power Dynamos and Nkana

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has issued fines and sanctions to Power Dynamos and Nkana Football Club for breaching constitutional prohibitions against political slogans at match venues.

Power Dynamos was fined K100,000 following an incident during an MTN Super League match against Nchanga Rangers FC on October 11, 2026. The club acknowledged responsibility for the behavior of its supporters, describing it as an isolated event. In addition to the fine, the club received a suspended three-match ban from playing at Arthur Davies Stadium.

Nkana FC was also fined K100,000 after supporters chanted political slogans during a fixture against Makeni All Stars FC on October 10, 2026. The FAZ Disciplinary Committee ordered Nkana to play its next five home matches at a neutral venue at least 300 kilometers away from Nkana Stadium, behind closed doors. This stadium ban is partially suspended, contingent on the club preventing future re-offenses. Nkana expressed regret and outlined remedial measures to improve supporter conduct.
