Estudiantes de Río Cuarto faces relegation battle in Argentina

Estudiantes de Río Cuarto faces a critical period in its fight to remain in the Argentine Primera División. With only seven matches remaining in the season, the club is currently at the bottom of both the annual table and the relegation averages (promedios) table.

To avoid relegation, the team must secure a significant number of points, as they currently hold only 11 points from 25 matches. The club is specifically targeting Aldosivi in the averages standings; if Estudiantes earns 13 of the remaining 21 available points, they could potentially overtake Aldosivi, provided the latter earns no more than one point in its final seven games.

The club is also grappling with internal challenges. Beyond the poor on-field performance—marked by an eight-match winless streak—there are growing concerns regarding institutional management and a perceived lack of direction following their recent promotion.
