Football clubs in Côte d'Ivoire and Togo face leadership and funding challenges

In Côte d'Ivoire, Salif Bictogo, president of Stella Club d’Adjamé, has criticized the Adjamé municipality for failing to provide promised financial and logistical support. Despite the club competing in Ligue 1, Bictogo stated that an annual subsidy of 3 million FCFA has not been paid and a request for land to build a club headquarters remains unanswered. Other local clubs, including WAC de Williamsville, Leader Football Academy, and AS Athletic d’Adjamé, are reportedly facing similar lack of municipal support.

In Togo, Semassi FC held an extraordinary general assembly in Sokodé to reorganize its executive bureau. The meeting followed the resignation of president Nazoumana Nassoma and the passing of vice-president Issa Sakibou. Daboya Touré Djisso, formerly the first vice-president, has been appointed as the new president to ensure institutional continuity for the club.
