Football gaming sees community PES 5 remaster and eFootball Switch 2 launch

A community-driven mod project has transformed eFootball PES 2021 into a visual remaster of Pro Evolution Soccer 5. The project recreates the 2005-06 football season by transferring the PES 5 database into the modern engine, featuring authentic kits from clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Inter Milan.

Separately, eFootball is being positioned as a more accessible, arcade-inspired alternative to EA Sports FC on the Nintendo Switch 2. The game features a World Tour mode that focuses on squad-building and progression without heavy reliance on microtransactions, utilizing classic characters from the series' history.
