Football Manager 27 reveals major UI and navigation improvements

Sega and Sports Interactive have released a gameplay deep dive for Football Manager 27, focusing on significant updates to the user interface (UI) and navigation systems. Scheduled for release in November 2026, the update aims to improve quality-of-life through a more intuitive experience designed to reduce unnecessary clicks.

Key changes include a revamped navigation system featuring primary and secondary menus at the top of the screen, often utilizing drop-down menus to allow quick access to sections like Squad, Tactics, and Recruitment. Many previous pop-up windows are being replaced with full-screen pages to facilitate easier browsing. Players will also have increased customization options, including the ability to map custom shortcuts and tailor landing screens and bookmarks to their specific playstyles.

The in-game inbox is also receiving an overhaul. Messages will now feature color-coding to denote urgency and priority. To streamline management, the inbox will display key information directly; for example, scout reports can be viewed within the message itself, and multiple transfer offers will be grouped together to reduce clutter.
