Football tournament updates in Colombia and Argentina

In Colombia, Dimayor has confirmed the official structure for the 2026 Liga BetPlay quadrangular semifinals. Following an extraordinary assembly, the tournament will maintain a 19-round 'round-robin' phase, with the top eight clubs advancing to two groups of four. The first and second-placed teams will be seeded automatically as group leaders, while the remaining six teams will be drawn in pairs to prevent consecutive seeds from meeting in the same group. The final phase will consist of six matchdays, featuring three home and three away games for each participant.

In Argentina, the second phase of the Regional Football League Recategorization Tournament has been drawn across two divisions. In Division A, Sportivo Belgrano will compete in the Championship Phase (Zone C), while Proyecto Crecer enters the Permanence Phase (Zone B). In Division B, Antártida Argentina and La Milka have been placed in separate zones as they compete for promotion next year.
