Football transfer news: Atlético Madrid targets Bruno Fernandes

Atlético Madrid is reportedly monitoring Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes as a potential transfer target. Manager Diego Simeone has long expressed admiration for the Portuguese midfielder, a fascination dating back to 2017. While Fernandes is under contract with Manchester United until 2027, negotiations regarding his future could be influenced by his salary expectations, which are reportedly exceeding $14 million net per season. If a compromise is not reached, Atlético Madrid, led by sporting director Mateu Alemany, may pursue the player, though they would face competition from clubs such as Juventus, AC Milan, Galatasaray, and various Saudi Arabian teams.

In other transfer news, Chelsea is positioned as the frontrunner to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in a deal potentially valued at €100 million. Additionally, Manchester United has reportedly established an unofficial valuation of approximately €75 million for striker Benjamin Šeško, setting a baseline for any potential incoming offers from European clubs.
