Footballer Josef B. Killed After Bar Attack in Teplice

Josef B., a 36‑year‑old footballer known in the regional Czech football scene, was assaulted outside a bar in Teplice. A single punch to the head caused severe injuries, and he remained in hospital for nearly two weeks before dying on Friday, 24 July. Police are investigating the incident as assault leading to death. The suspected attacker is reported to be under 18 years old. Police spokesperson Tomáš Frolík said the case is being treated as a criminal act with a suspect identified, and criminal proceedings are underway.
