Gary Lineker acknowledged Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best ever and noted his goal-scoring records match those of Messi. However, Lineker argued that Ronaldo lacks the vision and ability to influence play in the way Messi and Diego Maradona do. Heung-min Son expressed that while Cristiano Ronaldo remains his personal idol due to his mentality and longevity, he would likely name Lionel Messi as the GOAT, stating he cannot argue against the Argentine's greatness.
