Footballers Maxim Mihaliov and Ștefan Iovan mark birthdays

Several notable figures in Moldovan and Romanian football are marking birthdays or anniversaries.

In Moldova, Maxim Mihaliov celebrates his 40th birthday. Mihaliov holds the record for the most appearances in the Moldovan top division, having played 446 matches. His career includes stints at Dinamo Tighina, Dacia Chișinău, and Zaria Bălți, as well as 14 appearances for the Moldovan national team. He currently plays for Iskra Rîbnița.

In Romania, former defender Ștefan Iovan turns 66. Iovan is well-known for his time at Steaua București, including the 1986 European Cup victory, and earned 35 caps for the Romanian national team. Other footballing commemorations include the birthdays of former players Bogdan Straton and the late Augustin Deleanu.
