Forbes Magpies captain Erin Naden prepares for emotional grand final

Erin Naden, captain of the Forbes Magpies league tag team, is preparing for a grand final clash against Orange CYMS at Spooner Oval. The match carries significant emotional weight for Naden and the local community following the death of her partner, Hayden Bolam, in July.

Bolam was a prominent member of the Magpies, having played in premiership-winning sides in 2016 and 2018. In his honor, the club has dedicated its campaign to his memory, with players across all grades wearing his jersey number, nine, on their chests. Naden expressed that fulfilling Bolam’s wish to see her win a grand final in the club’s colors serves as a primary motivation for her return to the field.
